JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking ideal candidates who have experience in powder coating and have a strong understanding of coating techniques and equipment.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate materials and equipment.
  • Assembly for powder coating process, operating spray gun, loading metal pieces onto paint-line hooks, unloading metal pieces after painting, and general shop cleaning.
  • Perform chemical balancing to ensure proper mixtures for powder coating.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on powder coating equipment and tools.
  • Complete verification paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
  • Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures and adhere to all company policies.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Some experience as a powder coat painter.
  • Proficiency in powder coating techniques and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting and coating operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions, including navigating a computer, using a mouse and keyboard, and entering or accessing information as required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in a related field is a plus.
  • Physically fit: frequently lift up to 50 lbs., must be able to bend, squat, crawl and climb.

Physical Demands:

  • Activities: Sitting – 5% Walking/Standing – 95%
  • Lifting: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
  • Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.
  • Follow PPE requirements including wearing safety glasses and hearing protection at all times when working on the production floor and wearing CSA-approved steel-toe shoes.

Mental Demands:

  • Interpret, analyze, research, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Environment:

  • Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust, and fumes.

We are currently hiring for the a Weekday Day Shift - Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm Does this schedule work for you?

This role requires standing and walking for approximately 95% of the shift (with about 5% sitting), frequently lifting up to 50 lbs, and the ability to bend, squat, crawl, and climb as part of regular duties.
